Misha Gomez is an interdisciplinary artist living and working in South Philly. Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, he ended up on the East Coast after getting his MFA in Graphic Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art. TYST is a maximalist decor brand that focuses on bringing bold and colorful forms into people's living spaces. It started as a mid-pandemic side project to exercise Misha’s creative tendencies that weren't being fulfilled during the 40-hour work week. TYST translates into “quiet”  and came about from the warm & highly personal feelings of connection to the objects people collect over the years and the quiet moments of sitting with those objects in a well-curated home. His design brain draws inspiration from contemporary Swedish design and Midcentury Modern aesthetics, focusing on powerful shapes and bold color.
